Technical distributor issues fiat mia 1100

Hi all Fiat lovers. I'm new to the forum and would like some advise.
Having problems with my distributor for Mia 1100. Is it wise to replace it with after market unit? If so which brand would be recommended?

Hi, distributor is a common problem on the Uno. Replaced mine in March this year bought the unit from a spares dealer - non Fiat part. Works fine now. Sadly you can expect it to go since it's close to the engine and the module heats up. In the 5 years I've owned mine I did the module 3 times and complete unit once. Check if it's not only the module before doing the complete unit. Good luck.

Hi guys. I too have a mia. Does anyone perhaps know what that round metal thing is behing the front grill? There were to wires running to it that broke off. Please help
