General Distributor Cam

Just changed my contact breaker points and the improvement in performance is great as the old contact breaker had worn right down( the black part that pushes against the small cam inside) but I also noticed the metal cam itself which opens the points had suffered a lot of wear ( my car has 95k on the clock).

Is it possible to change this part, how easy is it, can you buy it new still?

If the cam has suffered lots of wear, then your car would never run right as the points wouldnt open enough. If the gap is right and the timing spot on when you strobe it then I wouldnt worry. Remember to lightly grease the cam or the heel of your points will wear away again.
