General delivery mileage

General delivery mileage

THis is why you need to be careful with cars from brokers and pre reg from unfranchised dealers, these cars often get driven between location rather than transported and can end up being delivered as new with several hundred miles on them whilst still being "new".

T14086 has already said it can only be reset within 80 miles.

Hardly 100s of miles.

Before rolling your eyes Hellcat, you want to try reading all the words, quote "with several hundred miles on them", nothing about zeroing in there, just saying that what one person may consider delivery mileage might not be someone elses. :nutter:

did I want it next week or wait until Sept for 57 reg.

I am having it registered 07 plate & collecting it wed/Thu :)

Don't feel bad about not having the very latest reg, the 0s are better than than the 5s anyway. I'm not sure why, just ... classier, somehow, and apparently they hold their value better. I was sorely tempted by the '06 Sporting in the dealer, but that had been used for the test drives, had 230 miles in the clock, and was £500 more expensive than the one I actually went for, which had 2 miles and a '55 plate.

Yes, I think the 07 plate looks better but I can't hang on as I sold my other car & they want it this weekend to go away, anyway , I want it NOW!!:yum:

even better, the reg has my actual initials VF07 :p

I would consider delivery mileage 0 miles on the clock. Anything else and I would reject it. Fiat have obviously found that delivery and all prep for customer can be done in under 80 miles and final job is to zero the mileage. If it's new then you're the first registered owner and it's got zero mileage. If you're 2nd owner after dealer, or it's got mileage after it's allowed zero of 80 miles then it's a nearly-new car.

Still not got it then.

been for a 60 mile run today, all is well, it had 8 miles on the clock, glad I had the aircon option as its been a scorcher but lovely & cool for us inside (y)

Dualogic seems o.k. but sometimes hangs onto 4th gear longer than it needs even in eco mode, a tap on the lever soon jumps it up to 5th so a mixture of auto with occasional manual intervention seems the way to go for me, haven't actually tried it yet in full manual, found a few features not listed in the brochure for the dynamic version inc. elec mirrors, reconfigurable multifunction display, no boot light tho unless I cant spot it lol
