Soooooo confused!!!

I have finally bitten the bullet and decided to go ahead and dip my toes into the realms of Fiat ownership:)
This will be the first Fiat i've ever owned and i've decided on the T-Jet 150 sport. Problem is, i like the maranello red and the wife likes the maserati blue:confused:, i can get a blue one on an '08 plate with 5k miles for £9988 or a red '08 with 10 miles on it for £10988 but i quite liked the idea of dual zone climate and the 18" wheels - which both these don't have.

So, what's the opinion, is this a good price (from arnold shark) or should i hang on for one with the extra goodies (although £10k is about as much as i want to pay) or is the a/c just as good and the climate is more of a gimmick??

What's the concensus on the colour?? Those of you with the maserati blue - are you pleased with the colour or do you wish you'd gone with a different one????

:bang:

any thoughts??

maranelo red is too common, half of the people on this forum have that color, I'd take the blue one if I were you.

the automatic AC is not a gimmick.

you should look for one with blue&me, automatic AC and if possible (but doubt it's in your price range) the skydome roof.

climate control is a real plus, especially on those iced up winter mornings. Also with regards to heating it is so unlike standard aircon you wouldn't believe.
I didn't think anything of it before owning a car like it, the heat, when needed, is there and isn't dry your lips type heat. but a nice controlled temperature increaser. The 4 cars I have purchased since have all been bought with climate as an option, unless already standard on the car.

Blue, blue. blue

One of my few regrets is not insisting on dual zone climate for the car. You can do pretty much everything climate can do (apart obviously for dual zone) with aircon but you're constantly adjusting the direction, temp, flow... Miss the climate I had on my Marea.

Oh and your wife is right - Maranello Blue (y)

Thanks all, Blue it will be then(y)

Plus that'll keep the wife happy.

So, the only one i can find with climate is in Gloucester:( which is some trip - 2k miles on the clock and it has the 18" wheels..........mmmmmm.......could be the one for me:yum:

I have the 18"'s on my 150tjet sport... they absolutely rock (y) and yes many reds... few blues!

.... i dunno if i would go for the sunroof though... havent tried it but some here in the forum wrote that it becomes a bit top heavy...

cheers with the buy... its a lovely piece of intalian spirit... ( my first fiat...no regrets!)

Well, deal is done, thanks for all the input folks(y)

Unfortunately, dealer wouldn't budge on the price of the blue one - so have blagged a maranelo red one with 2k miles on it, '07 plate with climate and 18's :D

Can't wait to collect it..................6th jan:(

Got flight booked and then get a good 500 mile drive home;)

This is strange...Around here prices for Maranello Red and Maserati Blue are exactly the same. Both these colors are considered as "special" for the model...

Both i looked at are used cars, they both had 2k miles on, climate and 18" wheels........blue one was £2000 more than the red one:eek:

Admittedly, the blue one is only 6 months old and the red is 18months old, but i wasn't gonna pay that much extra(n)

there are probably more options in the blue one that you're not aware of.

the list of "invisible" options in the bravo is long and each one of them costs half a grand.

(hifi audio, esp, xenon...)

Climate control - over rated in my opion
Blue and me - all sports have it anyway
skydome - whats the point if you have Air con/climate - also raises the centre of gravity and makes the car slightly unstable at high speeds

Black or Techno grey are the best colours - out of blue and red Id go red - most people on here have red because most people prefer it :p

honnestly, you can't give an opinon on options you don't have.

I have all of the above and use them everyday. I would certainly not buy a bravo without them.

the point of having the skydome has nothing to do with A/C  OBVIOUSLY
who told you the car is unstable at high speed?

I think you'll find anyone can have an opinion on anything they like, as you so often do

So What is the point of the sky dome then ????
to look out of when your parked up somewhere ?,
maybe admire the bird ****e from the underside?,
perhaps to cool down on a hot summers day with the wind blowing in your hair (what aircon is for)
"Daddy why is it so hot in the car "- oh that will be the big piece of glass letting in all the sunlight and making the car into a large oven
Perhaps to let in rain, bird poo, insects, sand grit stones etc etc while driving along
(y)(y)(y)
hmmm, order me one now
And its been mentioned on a thread or 2 about instability at high speeds when having the skydome.

No, you got it all wrong, it's all about aesthetics :) It makes the car look gorgeous from outside. It looks "special" and "expensive". Especially if the base color is bright, than you get nice contrast with the black roof.

The point of skydome has nothing to do with aircon, it has to do with enjoying the clear blue sky while driving and having fresh air inside the car without opening the noisy windows.

you have no clue why people would want that option, that's why I said you can't have an opinion, that was in no way meant to offend you.

also about the instability, it's actually one of my threads you're referring to but you didn't quite understand what I said, you should go back an read it :

Keep your eyes on the road, You shouldnt be looking up into the sky while driving :p

we will agree to disagree - if I lived in climate that was sunny most of the year, I might consider it, in the UK its waste of time.
