Hi all,

I finally got my panda running but i have a small issue with the dashboard. When i press the clutch pedal the dashboard goes crazy, the water temperature gauge goes up and the lights flicker. Anyone met this problem?

Thanks

.
I had more or less the same problem, while off roading.

Water Temperature Gauge moving in a crazy way.

The reason ??

The thermostat cable was disconnected.

When you open the hood of your Panda, look on the left side, on the rear part of the engine.

There is a small circle, RED colour, that should be the problem.

That's the place to insert the cable.

Sorry if the explanation is not the best, I made my best :devil:

Oh so i think youre talking about the coolant sensor switch close to the timing belt?

sometimes the main earth lead can fail at the body connection point. meaning the body of the car is effectively a "floating" ground. test it by connecting a jumper lead to the engine somewhere then to the body of the car somewhere.
check the dash and see if its going crazy. if not, make a nice solid earth lead up and bolt it to the car body and to the engine.

it can also be down to the earthing points not making a good contact.. have a look at this..
