Technical Dashboard bulbs.

Yesterday I changed the 1,2W T5 bulbs behind the heater/AC controls on our M.Y. 2000 Weekend.
There are three of them, and they are easy to reach, but when taking the bulbs out, and putting new ones in, I discovered the bad quality of the original sockets...
One broke, so I had to glue the socket in it's holder...!!
After about 15-16 years, the material breaks easily, so take care when changing them!
Positive side: the controls are well visable now, since one bulb didn't work anymore, and the other two were black as well...

Material becomes very brittle
I even similar issues with headlight and other connectors in the engine bay. Even the protective covering on cables has become brittle and cracks on a slight touch


My car will be 11 years old in few months
