i think mark will agree the erm top end on my car is by no means book figures :D
so never judge a book by its cover :D

Top Speed 120 mph on the 1.9 120hp apparently not likely although it is mapped a little ;) the 2.0s bravos are not really the best engine but its no slouch and i dont know what model of 206cc your dad has but none come close to the power and pace of what the bravo has so just get used to driving a diesel thats where you will be going wrong also the bravo is 6 speed i dont think the 206cc come in a 6 speed so the gearing will be mega different youll be expecting the power to come in at the wrong times

saw this earlier reminded me how much i need to get my car on the road

Does the steering wheel sit to the left? I don't mean is it off-centre of the seat but as the wheels appear to be straight, from the photo it looks as though the steering wheel itself is sitting not quite straight but turned to the left slightly - mine does that constantly...not fixed but not sure how long it will last...just interested to hear if others have a similar issue.

yes it does there is a list of faults such as: Fix It Again Tomorrow
1 steering wheel as mentioned
2 gear knobs can move and rattles around
3 radio keeps turning on when the car is locked
4 very noisy breaks after driven for a while and a clonking sound

tbf your spending the entire time ripping the fiat saying how its crap and the 206cc better...... which is the one being repaired atm :p .

tbh ive never been a fan of the new bravo, too plasticy and modern fiat electrics are the same as the old ones.... shi** thats why i always buy the fiats pre obdII ecu's. ie mk1 bravo, centos, there just easier to fix if they go wrong and you dont spend your life at the dealer being bent over lol.

out of interest what was up with the cc? prolly sometihng stupid knowing the pugs ive worked on, something simple that ruins the entire feel of the car.

the gear knob is an easy fix pull the cap of and a 10mm bolt reveals itself to be tightened thats it done it a few days ago

wow, bucket load of serious faults there.....

an uncentred rack that's probably been done by a tracking place by mistake
a loose screw on a gearknob
a radio that's not set correctly
and worn brakes....given it's a courtesy car, i'll guess plenty people have given it rough treatment....i mean, roadtested it ;)

time for the scrapheap :p
