General Cruise Control

This is going to sound really stupid but i have bought a new Grande Punto Sporting but did not come with a user manual the dealer has ordered me one.
How do i use cruise control, as I have no idea?

turn switch to on at the end of the stalk like lights. then when at the speed you want flick it up and should hold speed, flick up to increase speed by 1mph and down the oposite. if you are cruising and put your foot on the brake clutch it will disengage. press the button on the end of the stalk to bring you back up to the speed you were cruising at.

Do you have a separate stalk for cruise control as i haven’t got one.

yes, below the indicator stalk, its a mini one, not as long.

remember cruise is an optional extra, you may not have it. its not standard on any Sporting GP.

I have not got one of them I thought that all sporting Models came with cruise control as standard

not really, yours could be mk1 or 2 i belive? anyone else? i would imaging the stalk is in the same place anyway on all models.

I would think Cruise control would have a 3rd stalk, every car I had with CC had 3 stalks. No 3rd stalk no CC i'm afraid...

Standard on Series 2, I got it.... Thought it was +5mph when you tap up - I'm sure I read that in the manual?

mines a series 1, its about 1.5mph actually on mine, bout 3 taps per 5mph.

How would i know what series it is?

you dont need to dude. no stalk. no cruise. i think yours is series 1, think sieres 2 are all 58 reg

Series two have black casing on the front lights, series one have silver.
Series two come standard with Cruise, series one doesn't.
Series two come standard with Blue&Me, series one do not.
Series two will be registered XX58 XXX
Series two is much better, series one is not

have you got dots or stripes on your seats?

if you've got leather, then we've got a problem!! lol!!

i think any GPS on 58 plate is a s2!!

and peteypye, you're wrong, blue and me come as standard on the S1 GPS!! (and your car sounds like a tractor!)

08 plate = series 1 sporting = no cruise unless it was added as an optional extra. All sportings be it S1 or S2 came with blue and me as standard.

Ahhh I apologise, thought it was not standard on S1!

Why did you have to go and mention the tractor noises!! It's drowned out (just) with music on... You know at heart MJet owns Tjet!
