Morning folks, hope all is well. I am midst engine tear down and have a very stubborn crankshaft retaining bolt. Has anyone removed this with success before and could you confirm it is a left hand thread as per the Barchetta manual?
Cheers

No personal experience on your model, however if manual says left handed thread I would use their data.
The other thing that may help is often a strong thread lock compound is used that by heating with a hot air gun can sometimes break the grip caused by it.
Sometimes a impact gun can "rattle" a bolt loose rather than a long bar snapping a tight bolt.

Hey, thanks for the advice. My apprehension was not knowing 100% of the bolt was left hand thread. I can now confirm it is. Took the plunge with a metre long breaker bar and a scaffold pole. It gave way with an almighty ping, at which point I thought it had sheared but thankfully not!
