unfortunately in todays market it does not
usually if its red its oats but its not bulletproof
a refracter is the only real way to know what you have
best bet is drain and refill with oats its quite cheap these days and lasts 5 years

just go to asda and buy the coolant,
its clear stuff that will mix with any,
if youre coolant is blue just pop in quid shop they sell it,
thats whats in mine now, after wasting gallons of expensive stuff trying to get rid of the gurgle

Old milk carton cut open under the drain/bleed valve
You can save about 50% that way

i have pink in mine and wanted to add more of the same
Halfords is your place for that then,
its expensive for what it is, tbh id just top up with the clear stuff if it only just need topping up abit,

my coolent is leaking on to the radiater so i need a new radiator whitch will mean putting in new coolent . i dont mind paying a bit extra for some good stuff

you need to read he who knows nowt in post 2
your pink is crystallisation
just drop out the radiator and once replaced use oats
i dont have a problem with s/h radiators
for those that need to know look in the header if its clean its a good system if its full of brown gunge then move on

Can you link me up to where to buy oats please ,is it cheaper on line? also can you link me to the right radiater for my mk2 2004 16v please . i want to order one on line but dont want to mess up and get the wrong one . thanks

stuff like caps for number plate screws etc,
