General Controlling spotify from steering control

On a 2015 pre-facelift 500 S, does anyone know if you can control spotify from any of the steering controls?
It would be over USB as bluetooth wont play music on Blue&me, and apple iphone.

As far as I am aware, the only way to control playing music via the steering wheel controls on a pre-facelift 500 is to put the music onto a FAT32 formatted memory stick in either .mp3 or .wav format and plug it into the USB socket.

If you can accept this limitation and you give some thought as to how you tag the files, it actually works quite well.

Pull it out, disconnect the Blu and me, buy a fascia plate and a Alpine( or other ) head unit and never look back?
Might need a steering wheel control adapter.

Not really me, I dont use that kind of stuff. Seen that spotify updated the app a few years ago and blue&me user lost steering controls.

Are their reasonable fascia options for the pre-facelift that retains the vents?
