Hello

I've been to look at a Stilo 1.9 (115bhp) JTD Multi Wagon Active Air con today. 54 plate Jan 05

liked it.:D

But yuou know how it is I can't remember nor did I properly look at all the gubbins.

I've hunted on the internet but can't find a lisitng to show what the standard spec is on one of these. And all the used ones for sale seem to be the dynamic version which isn't helping!

Can anyone help?

i've got a '53 plate mw active aircon and has ----

electric windows (front only)
electric heated mirrors / body coloured
remote locking

front fogs
power steering (+city for extra assistance)
15 inch steel wheels / 16 or 17 inch alloys
colour coded bumpers
'my car' presonalised functions
multifunction trip computer
roof rails / split boot and upgraded
interior

hope this helps!!! others will probably add what i've left off(y)

If you have a look at www.Parkers.co.uk and hunt out the review of the multiwagen, it will give a list of all models in the range and a breakdown of the specs. They also include the modifications to the specs and when features were included or deleted from the spec, give it a go.

re: Comparison of Active & Dynamic specs

Forgot to say, went for the dynamic because I like my comfort such as the climate control and arm rest as well as the RCL, Alloys and full computer trip computer:)

re: Comparison of Active & Dynamic specs

thanks. I've paid for the full review on parkers.

It seems to show that it does have the remote central locking and trip computer.

it doesn't appear to have the front fogs although they are listed as standard as built in front fogs. I couldn't see them in the front grill like skirt.

Sounds great, much better economy than my Renault Megane 1.6e RT Auto. Which according to parkers gets 33mpg as opposed to the 50mpg they quote for the Stilo MW. THe road tax is also cheaper. Same insurance group so that's a bonus. (y)

Now just to juggle the money about and arrange to get it.

Thanks for your help.:worship:

All Stilos have remote control central locking and trip computer (incl. MyCar settings).

If it has front fogs, they are integrated in the headlamp and not in the bumper.

re: Comparison of Active & Dynamic specs

economy is amazing, went to Cornwall, approx 300 miles and averaged 53 mpg at roughly 70 - 75 mph on the motorway and just done a round trip of 100 miles mixed dual carriage way and x country and returned 52 MPG, :slayer:

Mine is a dynamic and has no front fogs... then again I have headlamp washers and gas discharge headlights, which are awesome! Makes front fogs pointless (y)

Otherwise can't help much as the JTD Dynamic and 1.6 Active Aircon I had before are both Phase I cars... not Phase II like your looking to buy.

Fiat ditched that idea on the revised Stilo's, feeling the weight of mine without the split makes it understandable in preventing hernias and back problems

:D I have my Stilo now. Only drove it for about 10/15 mins home tonight. Feels great so far.

I'll have a proper play in daylight tomorrow.(y)

A good clean of the inside and take it to the audio people to change put in my cd head unit.

Just make sure you don't spend too much time admiring or constantly thinking about driving it :D

Re: specs

Hi stilo peeps!

Thought i'd post here instead of starting new thread, sure its out there just can't find it :(
I'm looking at a multiwagon to replace my old escort estate, which served me well just think this time the MOT is gonna cost more than the cars worth so time to replace it.

So been looking around and know i want a 1.9jtd dynamic. Thing i can't find is how to tell what is a 80bhp model and which is the 115 if the advert doesn't say
Also, i'm aware that fiat had issues with reliability when the car was new, and have heard the phrase "phase 1" & "phase 2" stilo.. Am i right to assume the phase 2 cars have the original known issues resolved. What date did the phase 2 come in..

Cheers for your help :)

A 115hp has considerably more acceleration than the 80hp. You will know when you drive one.
Also the Variable Vane turbo on a 115hp has a whistle sound to it when accelerating, where as the 80hp turbo should be silent.

Most Dynamics are 115hp and most actives are 80hp, but that can change depending on what the original buyer ordered.

Also, a lot of Dynamic estates seem to be listed as Active on the V5 document, but the engine should be correct.

My Dynamic estate will be up for sale soon - as soon I get something else sorted out (wife doesn't like to drive it). I don't know how much you want to spend, but it has most extras and 112K miles, and wont be expensive. £2K or mabe a bit less.

The 115 bhp has got the intercooler behind the front bumper left grille, just bend down your knees and you will see it.

About phase 1 or 2, there are a lot of people in this forum who could tell you exactly when they had changed, but mine´s is from september 03 and it´s phase 2, so they might have changed along the 2003...
