Hi. First time posting!

I have a 2013 Ducato Maxi 3.0 comformatic.

Can anyone tell me which fluid I need to replace the clutch fluid? I understand Fiat recommends a dealer do this but I’m miles away from one.

Any advice gratefully received

Hello,

It's a don't try this at home unless you've successfully done it earlier thing. I'd say even more don't let it to a mechanic unless he's successfully done it earlier thing :D

There are several threads about the conformatic gearbox here. The problem is even the official FIAT documentation (eLEARN) is all messed up.

The clutch fluid is DOT4 brake fluid. A proper replacement includes bleeding the clutch system all the way to the bleed nipple on the bell housing.

The other, bigger, fluid container on the Comfortmatic robot holds hydraulic oil which is something entirely different. Do not mix this up!
