How could you put the Garage Queen out in that weather :ROFLMAO:

Looking good though, loads of folk swear by colly's durability.

Hmm not had any water marks - but then its rarely hot and sunny straight after rain in these parts.

Spotted a patch of scratches on the roof the other day when out washing the car. Dunno what's caused it though the neighbours cat better remain in hiding...

Going to see about having the car polished properly soon so I'm putting off applying any more wax till after that.

Still one of my go to LSP's even now I've adopted Finish Kare FK1000p as my durable protection of choice.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but can anyone give me some tips as to how I should properly apply this wax?
Currently I use a wax applicator, wet it ever so slightly but the effects just don't seem to be as good as what other people achieve including the op and cars on youtube, could be just my paintwork but just thought i'de ask incase i'm doing anything wrong!
How long you leave it on the paintwork? And how do you apply it? (I usually do a circular motion like SRP)

foam or microfibre applicator, light spray of either water or QD on it and load up the pad.

apply sparingly in circular motion to car finishing with straight lines at the edge of panels.

leave for 10-15mins and buff off with a nice soft microfibre (y)

what are you washing the car with?

have you clayed it first?

you putting it over SRP?

oh and dont get it on black trim

I was using it with AG shampoo and con. But recently bought CG maxi suds which I love!
I haven't clayed my car before. I may do it tomorrow:idea:, does it really make a difference?
I was washing, SRP'ing then waxing with the colly in that order

well clay removes bonded contaminants leaving your paint glassy smooth....

95% of the work is in the preparation Colly can be a bit temperamental in cold or damp conditions

as for durability are you measuring out the shampoo? i have managed to shorten colly's life by getting a bit carried away with the dilution ratio of shampoo and foam...

colly is high solvent based which tends to remove most things beneath unless your car is swirled to high heaven try colli straight after claying

I didn't really measure the amount of AG S and C I used but for CG maxi suds i'm using 2 capfulls to about 8-10 litres of water.
I didn't really measure using AG S&C. But for CG i'm using 2 caps
