Collected my new 500c yesterday and love it, however I have noticed that it had the wrong wheels on it, I asked for the ones as it is pictured in the brochure which look like lots of spokes, instead I have ended up with one that aren't even in the 500c brochure, it's only 24 hours since I collected do you guys thing the dealer will sort it?

I guess they will change them but it may be down to what you have in writing.
What does your order say?

From what I remember you ordered the 500c Lounge which comes with '15 inch sport alloy' often referred to as the wavey wheels. These are on the Twin Air model sprayed in black.
The ones with lots of spokes are an upgrade (at £174 extra) and are called the '16 inch alloy wheel' and are the 'standard fit' on the Gucci model in Black. I have referred to these wheels as the Cossie type wheels.

Do you have a picture of the ones that you have on the car ?

I have checked my paperwork and the order only say the paint colour, roof and interior colour nothing about the wheels so would they just guess at them? I really do not like the ones on the car and I would never have picked them I just cannot believe I didn't notice yesterday, also I has the Italian stripe added but noticed today that the stripe has been torn slightly about half way through it but put back together and still stuck on the car, I feel petty mentioning it as you have to be keen eyed, however it's just the fact I paid£100 for it and shouldn't be torn I'd rather they say it damaged would you like a new one ordering.

Sorry using iPhone not a pc don't think it'll let me add a pic but sounds like what you Describe when you say wavy, the spokes come out straight and bend out to the outer rim. Maybe they did tell me that the others where chargeable then, you must be right it's that long ago waiting ten weeks order to seeing maybe they told me the spoke style have a charge and I'd already paid 300 pound on extras. Don't think I'll embarrass myself asking and just grow to like what I have. Thanks guys

Our new TA wind up windows had scratches on them, the salesman and service manager saw them and agreed to replace both windows, we have yet to take the car back and have almost forgotten. I suggest you mention it and get them to agree to replace the strip, this feedback to Fiat is important so they improve the service and you get a replacement strip or compensation, otherwise in time you will forget but it will still be on your mind.

See if they have a pre-reg car (with low milage < 200 or so) with the wheels you want and can swap. Maxi gave me that advice but there was nothing in stock that had 16" wheels to swap my 15" spokes with, ah well at least the our standard bck wheels hide the drums.

Of course they don't just guess at them. Even when you go to McDonalds and say I want a quarter pounder meal, they will ask you what drink you want with it.

You need to explicitly state what you want, and not be vague about it. To me the standard wheels on the 500c "look like lots of spokes" (sic) and they're also in the brochure so they fulfill the (rather loose) criteria that you set out. People aren't mind readers so you need to tell them what you want rather than just a vague description. We wanted red leather, I didn't ask for "seats that kind of look like red", I asked for red leather.....

Sorry if I sound rude, but almost every single one of your posts is just vague or a bit lazy (not reading the manual which you've been told to do several thousand times)

Sounds rude to me, Maxi we can't all be perfect like you.

Well I have had my moments on the FF and I got a little irritated with the OP at one stage . Given the history I was prepared to 'wipe the slate clean'. I still offered my help with his 'wrong wheels' but I have to watch my personality type because I don't tend to 'take any prisoners'. I probably should re-instate my old title of 'Short shift the time waster' :) but that would not be in keeping with the nature of the FF. It takes all types to make the 'world go round'.(y)

hey I never pretend to be perfect ;) but I think you gain little or nothing by beating about the Bush. Have a look at his previous posts on here and his posts on an Alfa board.....

They make cars with wind up windows still?

When i order a new car(not often but saving hard again) i make sure everything is ordered as i want, then write it all down, then check list it off when i collect the car :) but that`s me...
