Finally got off my backside and fitted the stereo today.. music at last!

The dash mounted speakers aren't brilliant for bass, but for £8 I don't really think I can complain too much..

Now I need to get me down to the dealership and get an aerial so I can use the tuner.. :p

Looking good, the tuners on sonys are quite good too. My old sony tuner was much better than the alpine i have now (Alpine better at cd though)

If you want to go further with the stereo then custom speaker pods is the way to go, i made some for mine from 6mm MDF and made a grill from 12mm mdf all covered in acoustic cloth. Much better sound and looks more integrated. My speakers were originally about £250 though!

I don't think the soft curvy 4 spoke was introduced until late 94 early 95. A 'k' reg car should have hard square cut 4 spoke wheel I believe:confused:

Mines a 'K' with the aforementioned hard square cut steering wheel, my cousin has a 'K' too with the same wheel.

I have only seen those on an 'M' reg.

Thats what it would be then. My K-reg 4-spoke is very square cut and black.

Maybe mine was replaced with a newer one at some point then. It's been on the car since I've owned it. Or maybe it's the right one for the Parade, which was a "special edition" (one of many ;)). I think mine's the only one on the forum at the moment, so nothing to compare it with.

Cheers,

Mines a K reg with a grey Square profile 4 spoke steering wheel.

I mounted my speakers into the door pockets, and in the rear quarter panels, along with a 12" subwoofer in the boot. It sounds awesome, its especially nice with the sound turned up quite a way.

In the Selecta I've got a pair of cheap 6x9's in the parcel shelf, and cheap 'parcel shelf mountable' in the front dash each side. For £130 inc. the Sony bluetooth head unit, I don't think I can complain. It sound really good!

In the 750L and 1000CL we've got speakers in the rear side pannels and in the 750L some cheap tinny ones in the front dash again, but none in the front of the 1000CL.
