General Chinese diesel heater

I have a globecar camper and am thinking to fit the heater in the floor box hole cupboard under the table as it appears to be a good site and space for the job.
Does anyone have any info. regarding fitting here or elsewhere in the globecar

Webesto and Erbpspacher are the only ones I have come upon and trusted.
In the past I bought several 24 volt ones from a truck garage auction. More recently I had a Fiat Scudo 8 seater with one under the floor.
My thoughts re chinese ones is probably OK to start with , but what happens when spare parts are required when out of warranty, assuming there is a supported warranty.

We have a Lavaner Chinese Diesel Heater, supposedly better quality.

From reading the Facebook CDH UK group 5kw are more reliable than 2kw.

As by size they are all pretty much the same casting there are hundreds of new/replacement parts on eBay.

If you decide Chinese isn't for you, look at Autoterm UK.

For us our CDH is a game changer, connected to the vans diesel tank it could run for years so no need to go looking for LPG.

Spare parts are widely available on ebay, but with the full kit available for well under £100 delivered i keep one as spare. So not only do you have a spare everything, but you can substitute parts to find which are faulty.
The parts between Eberspacher and the Chinese ones are generally interchangeable as its a virtually identical copy - apparently the Chinese started selling them as soon as Eberspacher's patent ran out.
I would not fit the Chinese ones as a paid job for someone else, because they would be forever be calling me back to it. I don't think the build quality is as good as eberspacher or webasto. But if its in your own van and you are able to tinker with it - they are ok - great when they are working and incredible value for money. I wouldn't rely on any vehicle heater to keep warm, whatever the make, - always take enough warm bedding / clothing for living in an unheated van.
I found through experience its best to chuck the crap fuel hose that comes with it, get some proper rubber fuel pipe which will support the pump hanging beneath the heater vertically with no other mounts necessary. If the fuel pump is not vertical you are likely to get cavitation air bubbles forming, and eventually the heater conking out.
Lots of advice on you tube - I don't know the best place to fit it on a Globecar as I have never looked underneath one, but when you have learned enough to install one properly you will be able to work that out for yourself.
An interesting test I saw on you tube showed the 2kw, 5kw, and so called 8kw (which only gave 5kw of heat) have about the same electricity and diesel consumption. Nothing wrong with the so called 8kw except its only 5kw. The 2kw is just less efficient than the others because it has a smaller heat exchanger to save space. The missing 3kw of heat you are paying for goes out the exhaust. Thats the price of saving space.

Yes I did run an Eberspatcher in a previous vehicle which failed after four years use.
The repair part was £140 odds so it was at this point I decided on an inexpensive Chinese heater.
I have to say it’s lasting longer.
