Technical Check engine warning light

Hi, I have got Grande Punto 1.4 8v, millage 88k . Recently I replaced fuel pump for a new one and after that it started showing wrong MPG, unrealistic values in the range of 58mpg. Several weeks later a yellow warning light "check the engine" went on on the dash board. I checked the fault codes with OBDII reader and found the codes P0300 and P0172. Replaces spark plugs, air filter and both O2 sensors (one of them appeared faulty). The yellow light is still on the dash board. MPG is around 48. I am quite confused about what can still be wrong. Any suggestions from the community?

You’ve tried clearing the faults with the code reader? If so which faults won’t clear or reappear?

Aye, but has he? no mention the faults were cleared.

If so which faults won’t clear or reappear?

We need to know if these have reappeared after the codes were cleared. P0172 could be excess fuel (unburnt) due to the missfire?
