Charity?

I have been thinking about this for sometime and now with the forum growing thought it might be a good idea.

How would people feel if we did one charity event a year? Do something like a rally where we can get involved and appeal for sponsorship.

It also would be good for the forum to get it recognised more.

I think its a good idea in principal, I think the choice of charity may be an issue though.

well i thought about chairties - people could post up choices of charities and reasons why they chose it - then put it to a vote.

could get in touch with papers and auto italia to do a feature

I would suggest the RNLI as a charity to support as they save countless lives around our coast without any funding from the government.

I'm all for some kind of rally - although i dont think our insurance will cover us!

When we did the Rally in 2004, we looked at the insurance aspect - will have to go hunting for those posts, because I think we managed to get round it.

Could have a thread on all the charities people would like to sponsor/donate to with their reasons so everyone has a chance to read about them, then a week or so later have a poll to see which chairty to monies goes to... or could just split it between a few.
