General Bulb warning (canbus) & MOT test

General Bulb warning (canbus) & MOT test

I have tried 4 different suppliers and types of LED bulbs in my Bravo. None of them ever work in the number plate sockets but one pair work fine in the front. No idea why :S

These are supposed to be anti-canbus error, hence the 3 watts.
Supposedly twice the light output of standard 5W5 bulbs.

Trust me i dont think ive ever seen any on FF who have bought any of these lights without getting the error. I beleive Most Easterly Pandas had some cables or something which you have to add as an addition to remove the canbus error or it may have been someone else.

Could you return the bulbs as they are not performing as advertised?

Not really, as it's car (well manufacture) specific, will work fine in other none Italian motors probably.

Correct. I've CREE LEDs setup for my number plate and front possition lights, but needed inline resistors for them to come up fault free.

I used a set of these (might be a different seller but same item), and the advantage is plug and play and no wire chopping :)

Shop about though as probably cheaper on ebay from a different sell, just the first one I found :)

I've just fitted these with CREE led's to replace the candles in my sidelights. With more DRL's about these days, a great upgrade so you can be seen with just sidelights.

They came in a blister pack from "Car Accessories Ltd" which claims they are "LED Day Light Ultra Bright". I went for these as they have a lens on the front, rather than LED chips studded all over. I thought a had an error at first when my dashboard said "Right Front.............", but it continued to say "Door Open".

Got any pics of them fitted? Want to see if they're better than my current ones

If so I'll order a set :)
