Technical Brake light issues

Hi all, new member here. I have a 2008 GP. When there are no lights on, my brake light work. However, when I put my lights on, the n/s brake light doesn't work. Any ideas. P.s yes I've changed the bulb

Can be a bad earth, but also worth checking the connector plug on the lamp unit where it slides together , they are a sort of aluminised spade connection and corrode often. I have had to clean and finally replace the lamp unit on my daughters Grande Punto and now her Punto Evo has shown similar signs on one rear indicator.

Fixed. It was a dodgy earth wire.
