Hi,

I am going start my boot build soon but I have came across a wee problem lol
when looking inside the boot the back seats tilt into the boot and I dont have an angle ruler thingy.

So I was wondering if anyone has an idea what the angle is??

Thanks Kirsty x

Don't need an angle ruler - get 2 long straight bits of corrugated cardboard, stick them together with a drawing pin in one end - put one length on the floor from front to back, and move the other length up to meet the backs of the chairs. Whilst holding them in place, mark lines on the card where the 2 edges meet (if that makes sense). Take them back in the house and open them back up to where you've drawn your lines - you have your angle :)

Hey thanks for replying back soo quickly :)

Welll...... it does and it doesnt make sense haha but I will give it a go anyway and I will let you know how I get on lol

Thanks K x

Hey

Your theory didnt actually work out for me but I managed to figure something out so am going to start drawing now haha

Thanks for your help K x

When I did mine I drew about 3 designs with measurements and everything.

When I built it the drawings went in the bin, just concentrate on making everything fit roughly and then you can trim, plain and perfect ;)

See my members motors thread (link in sig) for my outcome :)

I've built complete mock ups from cardboard before. It's easier than messing about with wood. Then going to MDF once the mock up is in, fits and looks good.
