Hey! My fiat 500 have Blue&me function for handsfree phone. But I cant find any way to stream music via Bluetooth? Only via USB? Os there any function for music streaming or is it easy to fix it in some way?

Blue&Me can't stream music over Bluetooth. Fiat chose not to include the required protocol, A2DP, in the Blue&Me specification.

There's no easy fix. If you want selectable music with Blue&Me, put it onto a FAT32 formatted memory stick in .mp3 format; you'll be able to choose the track you want using the steering wheel buttons.

On a 2012 car, the best value for money way to address this shortcoming is probably to fit an aftermarket head unit.

The blue & me is operational but basic

When the car launched in 2008, it was up there with the latest gadgets - some new cars back then were still using auto CD changers. Compared to what's currently available, it seems, well, let's say 'quaint'; but it still does what it says on the tin, and if you work within its limitations, is a perfectly useable music player. It will work as a handsfree unit for calls with phones from that era, but might not work too well with the latest iPhone.

Think of it as you would a mobile phone. A 2008 mobile will still handle calls and text messaging, but if you wanted to do more, you wouldn't try to upgrade it, you'd just go buy another one. If you've got an eight year old car and want better ICE, replacing the head unit is the way to go.

What's concerning is the number of posts we are seeing from folks whose Blue&Me modules have failed. I'm wondering if some of these failures are the result of trying to force an upgrade of the firmware beyond the limitations of the hardware; it's known that the early Blue&Me units can be bricked by trying to install later versions of the Blue&Me firmware.

The update process is supposed to prevent this sort of thing from happening, but there'll always be some eejit who tries to override the protections.

Yes! Especially on the older blue & me cars! My 2011 did take a software update but only because it was a second generation system
I agree with you that B&M works great if you work with what you have! But personally I wanted more ? it worked fine with my android phone but after I upgraded to an iPhone that’s when I had slight issues!
If I had been in a position where I was looking to replace a faulty module I would just replace the head unit and call it a day
All this being said. You need to know what your doing! Do your research ask questions and be sure before tackling

The blue & me is operational but basic!! I chose to disconnect the whole thing and installed a touch screen pioneer with CarPlay! It’s the only way if you want what a lot of other newer cars take for granted!

O can you send me link on this device :)? I saw ok TIKTOK a module with built-in airvents. Really good looking :)
I guess blue&me will be stop working? is the blue&me computer installed in the radiounit
