Bitten off more than I can chew??

Had a crack at doing a diy refurb on one of my alloys, it had been scraped and kerbed...a lot

Read guides, watched videos, read more guides learned the basics - get the prep right first and should be all good so thought

"how hard can it be"

So bought different grades of sandpaper, filler and paint and nipped out to my replica Top Gear Technology Centre (the garage), managed to sand away most of the scrapes and fill some of the kerbing, took all week (used too much filler)
to get it where it is now and Im thinking I've done more harm than good :bang::bang:

So apart from the most obvious errors (tyre still on, paint still on some parts - tried to keep it to the damaged parts only - failed miserably )

tempted to hand it in to professionals but really dont fancy getting laughed out the door... opinions/flaming/jokes?

From someone who has a friend use the touch up paint stick on stone cips, look for a
single replacement alloy on ebay,

Its going on wednesday to get done professionally, bit cheaper than a single wheel

haha thanks, to be honest it was like when I got the car last month (scuffed not half a bodge refurb ) rest of them arent that bad so are getting left for the moment

Internetz makes it look so easy, I probably could have done it with a bit more effort but meh... I panicked

having 4 is probably easier though , as they all look similar.. whatever standard they get to..,

true, though I'm still toying with the idea of a different colour sometime, maybe anthracite/gunmetal but not sure how it would go against maranello red

I'd imagine grey/black/variations would look pretty good against red.

to save hundreds of ££'s in wrong wheel / colour choices

i did the same with a mk2b punto alloy

im going to hand it over to a paint shop to redo it

The colours off - and i got shed loads of overspray

Got my wheel back, looks better than it did when I had a go but, probably me being picky, tbh I think it looks a bit orange peely, hell I wasnt even sure the colour matched the other wheels but cleaned one up to compare and its not that bad I cant live with it
