Haven't had mine long: best skateboard I've ever had (with the exception of the Honda S2000 I had for a week...) but....

Fuel burn seems very high. Somewhere between 25-30Mpg around town and 20-25 when pushed. Car goes fine but sounds very throaty..maybe thats the stainless steel backbox?

Any advice for a newbie, apart form shares in Shell?

Mine averages about 33 mpg and about 29 at worst when driving fast on the motorway or continuosly around town. Driving between 50 and 70 on a more leisurely run it can manage about 44mpg.

Mine's somewhere between 35 and 42, depending how it's driven. Does make a nice noise when pushed which leads to lower fuel consumption :)

Be sensible and use the metric system ;) And while you're at it, start driving on the correct side of the road :p

Mine uses 10,3l / 100km

About 27mpg. So mine's not that far off. Must be my driving style.

And while we're on the subject: Ireland is swapping over from left hand to right hand drive 1/4/08. This press release from the DSA refers...
'Initially from 1st Jan 2008, all buses, taxis and articulated vehicles in Dublin will move to the right to allow for a period of adjustment. Car owners may opt to make the switch themselves on an individual basis, depending on their level of confidence.

Starting on the 1st of April 2008, all motorists outside Dublin city will be required to drive on the right.

It sounds like a nice April Fools' joke !! :)

Last refill gave me 7.7L / 100km, quite an impressive performance considering the cold weather this summer in UK!

:D :D :D :D Nochange there then!!!! I worked in Dublin for a year...

I think Sweden is the only country to have swapped sides (no, not lorries first) in the 1950's.

My Mrs is in the UK at the moment with a Belgian friend. The friend had never driven in the UK before and was, shall we say a little nervous, when they got off the motorway. It got even worse when they got to Rye/Winchelsea :)
