Took my little yellow Lounge on a 430 mile round trip this weekend...from Staffordshire to Canterbury. All motorway, M6, M1, M25 and M2. I was really impressed with the 1.2, comfortable and solid in the traffic...he didn't miss a beat. Not very fond of hills, but I can forgive him that on looks alone!

I was also impressed with a 1.2 Lounge on the M4 to Bristol/M5 to Cullompton :) The Avis hire car had 27 miles on the clock. I think there was some note somewhere about 'running in', so after driving through London, I decided to do my bit by 'progressively loading' the engine, ending in a flat-out run.

It was doing 100mph indicated, somewhere near Swindon or Reading. The engine was singing... I wondered why anyone would really need a larger engine than a 1.2. I also wondered what kind of speeding ticket/court infringement a foreigner would get. Such speeds are only dreamed of on NZ motorways, but hardly seemed out of place on that part of the M4 after the bus lanes. I was nearly keeping up with the white van in front.
