FIX YOUR AIRBAGS
Are these the dogs or what? Just treated myself to a set of their earphones, what a difference. There are bits of songs I have never heard with my old headphones. Highly recommended.

Make very good TV's as well, as do Loewe http://www.loewe.de/ but again you pay for it.

best stereos in the world are made just outside Glasgow by LINN who have an amazing shop in Princes Square in Glasgow which is always worth a drop in when shopping to here the amazing quality like nothing else I've heard http://www.linn.co.uk/ who happen to make the stereo for the Aston Martin vanquish as well, rumoured to be the best sounding car stereo in the world as well.

Aaron.

bang and olusen do not make the inner guts of any electrical equipment.for yrs, they used pye innards! they are just cabinet makers and therefore expensive rip off merchants.pye is now owned i think by alba.totally true.;)

I don't believe B&O are anything special for sound - just styling.
Try Grado headphones. I have a pair of SR60s, and they are superb. It's just that they look like they came from the 70s!

Everyone percieves sound in a different way, some may prefer JVC to Awia for instance others visa versa...all sound same to me these days, too many years of headphones & guitar amps at full volume:(

Got a bush mono valve radiogram if your interested Negotiator:D

I have exactly the same problem... as a bassist, standing right next to the crash cymbal of a rock drummer for nearly a year doing gigs has not done much good...

Hey! A fellow bassist! :worship: I know what you mean about those bloody crash cymbals - I have tinnitus permanently in my right ear, so cymbals kind of don't bother me much any more.

What bass have you got? What's your rig?

As for B&O, well, their systems look very fancy but they're VERY expensive for what they are. To be honest I always thought they were very overpriced. You could buy NAD, Dual, Cambridge Audio, Linn and top end Japanese units for less.

I haven't tried any of the B&O headphones so can't really comment, but as Big Black Stilo mentioned Sennheiser (correct spelling ;) ) make super headphones.

I got a pair of eH2200 Sennheiser headphones after my ancient JVC's couldn't be repaired any more. The difference was amazing, such clarity. And that's with my hearing shot to pieces!

Then again, some headphones suit some people better than others. Best to try before you buy.

Guy at Uni had them headphones, I didn't like them. Not only did they look funny but the sound from them seemed too spacey/empty.

Although the sound was good they didn't get the required bass in there and at full belt other people could hear the sound which is not a good thing.

With the Technic RP-DJ1210's you can blast the speakers and the only one who has to suffer is you, they were virtually sound proof both ways. They can't hear your crazy music taste and You can't hear when people are insulting your mum :D

my old mans got some bang and olfusen stuff, looks really ummm stylish (depends what you are into) they are a good solid build (or so ive found) they are bringing out a mobile phone in partnership with samsung, looks well dodgy though.
Boston acoustics ive found are good for speakers as are b&w
