Hello!

I have read through countless articles about adding an aux into a punto. I have the Delphi head unit and have ordered an aux cable adapter as I want Bluetooth instead of an aux. But the process should still be the same.

Here’s what I ordered…https://amzn.eu/d/7cW4hxo

At first I ordered the yellow cable but after reading some threads I found it should be the 8pin blue cable.

After trying both, I have had no luck. I cannot get the aux option on the stereo. I have tried pressing the media button with and without cds. But can’t work it out. Others have had success so I just wondered if anyone could please offer some tips and tricks to try. Or advise me if I have purchased the wrong equipment.

Many thanks in advance!

apparently only fiat can enable the aux mode on the head unit as they are locked, you might be able to unlock this using some fiat software that you can purchase online but maybe a cheaper option is to use a USB to AUX adaptor if they exist?? or change the whole unit for one of them touch screen units on ebay

First timer on here and it took some time to search the various threads ..
Couple of things here first Aux cables and 3.5mm plugs were an easy plug in years ago but not so much today ports have been deleted
on most high end mobiles ...
Secondly so my lad has just bought a Fiat Punto 1.3 MJT No Blue&Me with a Delphi F199FL EUR Head Unit so the task was to get an Aux plug fitted.
So Just to answer first part of your question if you have an Aux already fitted buy a plug in Bluetooth adapter if however you dont the plug needed for this particular Head unit is the Blue 8pin block ...There is a little confusion with this connector some only have 3 cables in not easy to see when searching on line so could easily be ordered by mistake. The blue block Pictured with 3 cables AF L, AF R , AF one side and a bridging cable short circuit pins D in ,D out is the one you need and as mentioned once connected fed through and out into the car buy a 3.5mm pin bluetooth adapter plug in and away you go ....
Good Luck
