I got an induction kit but I don't have any of the hoses to fit it and I reckon I'd need a custom bit made up so I can run it, is there any where in Scotland I could get 1 made

UPDATE
didnt wanna post up another 1 for summit daft so ill put it here....since im lowering my car im prob best of buying new bushings any 1 got a rough estimate...i got my springs for my car 60mm for on 40 odd quid built for my model of car i dont wanna replace any thing else as its all new got recipts for the work,

also some folk have said to fit a brace since im lowring my car I cant seem to find any for that model of car

i wouldnt bother with an induction kit tbh, it's an 899cc with 39bhp from new, if you got 0.5bhp gain you'd be doing not too badly. it's really not worth the cost of getting hoses made up, which if you go for silicone hoses, can be pricey.

money better spent elsewhere imo

so wat would you recomemd?
In my head I was thinking of 14 alloys lowerd by 40mm, universal exhaust,
tinted windows, repsray, stock body removing back seats for the bmx bikes, upgrade the brakes

14's on a 40mm drop (y)

tinted windows (y)

respray (y)

back seat removal (y)

punto gt front breaks (y)

agree with all that. i just wouldn't waste any money on trying to get performance gains from an 899, at the end of the day, even with the best induction kit, exhaust, and all other basic engine mods, even a standard sei sporting will muller it. concentrate on wheels, tyres, brakes and suspension, thats where the biggest gains are to be found, also remember as its an 899, you car sits 20mm higher, so for a true 40mm drop, you'll need -60mm sporting lowering springs.

to the abve list, id reccomend fitting the sporting front arb (y)

Well, looked on the GSR site and even they say induction will give between 0 and 4hp. There'd be an increase in torque as well, but as Mark says, it's all about the cost and whether you'd get much out of it.

I reckon with Cento's in general, it's all about the handling and the fun it brings rather than the outright speed of the thing. Unless you do an engine swap, it'll never be quick. Nippy though is a good possibility :D
