Jumped in the Panda just now to go and get some of the tastiest fried chicken in the world (Dixy chicken on Stoke Road, just outside Hanley) and saw someone checking out the car. Note: It's filthy and on trimless steelies. The guys walk in and we get talking, he's apparently got a 750 which has been resprayed, had alloys, bit of colour coding on the bumpers etc. I suggest visiting here but he doesn't seem keen. In fact he seemed quite happy just talking about his car while I listened.

Oddly it's the first time I've talked to another Panda owner who I don't know off here. I'll be keeping an eye out for a G plated 750 when I'm out and about now.

cool, was out in mine a couple of weeks ago and parked outside a pub, this geezer was ogling the Panda like it was from deep space and telling all in the beer garden about it! Before I could run away, he collared me and just kept saying it must be restored as they are rust buckets etc:( Kept telling him I wouldnt restore a car with dents and scratches thrown in and it was original, he seemed genuinely gobsmacked. A wonderful experience:)
Tommorow, shes getting a makeover... shell be sooo clean:)

Funny that, I get this now and then as well.....

I collected my son from school one day last week, and the school car park was full of 4x4's and Audis etc - but juts as we were pulling away this group of sixth formers were all pointing at the car and giving us the (y)

Could have been taking the p*ss I suppose, but it seemed genuine enough....

The kids at the school where I work are amused by my Panda. Some of them think its kind of cool and retro. I have also noticed a few people looking at it. Maybe it just look strange against all the modern cars or maybe it sounds louder on the outside than inside......or is that just my paranoia lol:p

I was in traffic which was crawling past a bus stop and saw some kids pointing at Floyd. I think they were amused - but so I was cos they were stuck waiting for a bus :p

Have also had people stop and chat to me asking me about the car, the colour, and commenting on what great condition he's in! (y)(y)

i love the way pandas stick out so much in a carpark full of rubbish modern curvey cars !

when i got my first panda i turned up at my mates to show him.
the reaction was.

'' looks like a shoebox on wheels ''

:) brilliant.

My mate and his kids are VW nuts, and they all laugh at my Panda, yet his daughter gets well offended if I laugh at her breadvan Polo... weird:) At work its pretty popular, everyone knows it and now Im using the Passat they keep asking where the Panda is:)

Some of you may have seen my 'Panda or Cinq' thread in the polls section. I actually prefer the Panda for lots of the reasons you posted, although I'm still sure the Corsa crowd will laugh for all the wrong reasons.

Ive had someone taking pictures of mine! Was in a petrol station in Eastwood, Notts, and some geezer was taking not one, not 2 but 4 pictures of it!!!! Ive had soooo many cars in my 3 years but my Fiats (especially the Panda) is the best!!!!

So many people look at my car! Its cool!!!! :slayer:
