The other day, this indicator started flashing just after the car started. Accord to my reading of the book, if it comes on there's a plug blown. I presume it means flashing? However, bizarrely enough, the car hasn't shown to be hard to start since. Is it anything else possibly. It doesn't flash each time either. I remember seeing a multijet on ebay where a previous owner had sheered off one of more plugs when replacing. I wonder is this common.

Anyway, just a comment. I will report any progress.

did you sort this problem out?? i have exactly the same thing happening. what was the outcome?

A timely question. My problem has been exaberated by the recent cold weather, I suppose. Now, it is quite difficult to start when cold. I just tested the plugs one by one and all are good, so I think the problem is that the relay bringing power to them when the ignition is turned on is not remaining active for long enough. I removed the fusebox cover and could hear the relay as I stood outside the car and it sounded fine at that time and true to form it started fine. Later in the day, it was back to not so good. I wonder if he problem might be a sensor which might determine the ambient temperature being faulty and not indicating correctly that the temperature is very cold and more heating is required.
