Technical Altitude sensor

Hi all,

After spending £41 getting my ECU read to find out why the injector warning light keeps coming on the problem is with the above sensor. A picture of it is below and its next to the fuse box for the headlights on the drivers side in the engine bay.

I need a replacement. If anyone can get one I am willing to pay £25 for it plus the P+P.

is it the bit with f96 sensor written under it? because there seems to be a lot of pics on there of difrent things.
I know someone whoes breaking a punto 75, if i know exackly what it is i can see if they have one and how much they want.

hi. sorry, i cant really help you here, but i read that it is near the headlight fuse box. do you by any chance know if this is where/or if you know where the relay is for the headlights? and explain where to find it? thanks alot.

ALTITUDE sensor.....sorry, i thought it said ATTITUDE sensor. I have one of these sat in my passenger seat which keeps telling me to "Chill out"
My injector warning light is staying on but the car is running fine so i've left it unchecked. If you do get a new sensor and it puts the light out then please post on here then i might do something about my warning light.

hi dangt the punto at the breakers is mk1 looks all difrent to yours, is yours a mk2 by any chance.

There were 3 types of GT 1,2 and funnily enough, 3.

The engine layout did alter slightly.

I just got that picture off of a web site, my car is an mk1 GT, the sensor is in the same place as the picture on my car. If that car at the breakers has the sesnor and you could get it I would be very greatful. Let me know. Thanks

were they fitted to all mk1's or only the gt?

I believe it is all fiat puntos.

Hi they must only be on a gt, or very well hidden on standard mk1's. I could not see one on my punto or the one up the breakers, there is this black cover on the bulk head with eletric things under, i thought may be its under there but no its not there i removed it to make sure.
If you look in haynes manual page 0.6 thats what it looks like under the bonnet on the car at breakers and my car, i know its difrent to yours but i thought that it might have the same sensor but in a difrent place but it apears to not to have one at all. Sorry.

Hi,
reading the numbers on the sensor 0280101001 from bosch it apears to be a pressure sensor for the injection which is not the same as a mapsensor. You can find them on punto gt's and punto 16 valves 1 and 2 but also on coupe's and ritmo's 75 injection also on a lot of VW, Audi's, BMW's. You should be able to find one on a scrapyard.

Ive ptinted that out ill have a look at those other cars, but the only punto at the yard i use is an 8 valve.
so as long as its got the same numbers it will fit danGT's car is that right?

That is good to know. I have a scrap yard about a mile from me and a couple further away I will take a look this weekend.
