Hello all. I have 63 reg Panda 4x4 1.3 multi jet, done 125,000mls. Last week I noticed that when I parked the car after popping into town, there was samall amount of steam/smoke coming from the engine bay. I opened the bonnet, and it all soon pretty much disappeared. I looked under the car and there was a liquid dripping onto my drive from under the engine (close to where the oil sump is). I collected it in a container - it came to barely a thimble full. It was clear liquid, no smell; not oily, or coolant fluid.

Could the aircon drain pipe be emptying in that region, and some of the water evaporating as steam, dripping onto floor? If so, silly place to put it so that it drips onto engine components! Went on a long test run today - came back, and nothing at all dripping. Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

The aircon drain pipe (seen from inside the car) runs out from just to the left of the clutch pedal...

In the photo below (from my post about how to replace the pollen filter), the red arrow is pointing at the drain pipe (which you can only see after removing the trim panel)

Also though take a look at various threads about scuttle drains/duckbills, as these drain rain water (if not blocked) down against the bulkhead behind the engine, which will end up in about the same place.
