Technical After 4 years I'm finally back to owning a fiat.... with problems

It's the other way round, here. I don't panic -- but I do feel an urgent need to visit my local Shell garage -- when The Orange Light of Doom appears: even though I know I have 75 miles of margin.... Usually, though, I fill up before it gets that far....

Mrs homeward will drive with the orange light on for a while, though: and then randomly go in to the most expensive petrol station in the area. :bang:

On the plus I got my home made k&n filter on. Drain pipe from wicks and a universal air-filter sounds fantastic com paired to my real k&n must be the vibration in the pipe but it sounds really sporty. My mates got a milltek 3" sports back box for £40 which I'm buying, got my sun visor screen tint to go on, so my car is starting to take shape.

Got another question like is the 1.2 8v engine really tappy in the morning just when I start mine up it sounds like piston slap then as soon as I drive it the noise disappears straight away. At first I thought bottom end bearings but after speaking to a mate he said if the noise disappears it's not bottom end, no loss of power either. So I'm thinking its normal for a fiat. But maybe you guys know better. Car drives great no blank spots, sounds a little tappy when idle but it's very quite just in the morning from cold start.

Hi,
if its tappy on first start up
id change the oil and filter, You never knows what last owner as put in it
or if oil is wrong or not, be kind to this punto and give it a service at least you will know everythings good then .

they can be tappy ish but not excessive..for say like an old mk1 fiesta or old
talbot horizon (singer sewing machines)

Figured it out put a cone filter on noise stopped, must been the airfilter it's not tapping at all now. I will be giving it a full service when I get paid in two weeks anyway it's had another wash and wax so the five times in a week just building the layers up for a could of weeks. Total different car already and drives so smoooooooth. I love my punto. Now have 3 kids in the family my 11 month old, 3 year old and now my punto

there is only 3 good tyres one is scrap.
fronts are on low profiles.

They are Black & chrome FoX alloys. idont like them tbh but everyone whos seen them says they look good.

There lush mate, I just wish I could get down but still trying to find the part for my car. If you could find out how much it would cost to get them delivered to Newcastle let me know I get paid on Wednesday. If not hopefully if you still have them when my cars fixed I will collect them.
