Hi

Iv got a bravo 1.6 HLX but want 2 put better brakes. Bigger discs and maybe vented.

What brakes from better model bravos fit straight on(disc and calipers) and are better than the 1.6 standard brakes.

Has the HGT got better brakes and will they fit straight on???

Bear in mind that HGT/Marea 20v sized front brake discs/calipers will also need a minimum of 15" diameter wheels for clearance.

Personaly I would just fit Black Diamond front discs + pads and make sure the rear drums were in good condition/replace with Black Diamond shoes if not.

- would'nt bother converting the rears to discs unless you're really worried about the looks issue, hard to notice the difference on such a relatively light car unless you often go charging hard down twisty B roads fully laden.

Iv got 16 inch alloys so the hgt brakes should fit.

Also instead of me throwing a coupe turbo lump in it (which is very complex because of the wiring)

Will a Bravo HGT engine fit straight in. IE will the wiring loom on the 1.6 be fine for the HGT engine???

Seriously?

Buy a HGT if you want the engine. If you look for long enough you'll find one in yellow if thats your concern.

Installing a HGT lump in a 1.6 will be very expensive - insurance premiums will be higher too.

lmao. Although Marko has an extremely valid point.

Hgt hubs are different and you'll find there callipers have larger retaining bolts and just wont fit.
