Grande Punto (Abarth) Abarth Punto EsseEsse

Introduction

I thought it was about time I started a members motors thread for the Abarth.

I'd been asked for a few pictures, so some from yesterday's Bristol show are below, along with a couple from a show at Malvern 3 years ago.

There's not really much to report so far - this is good, as I have plenty to keep me busy with the older stuff! This one is meant to start when needed (not very often actually as I usually jump in a Panda Classic), and provide long distance cruising or fun on demand (y)

The car's a "stealth Abarth" with no stickers, completely standard with the EsseEsse kit fitted new. I know there were only 63 black AGP's registered in 2009, so there can't be very many black EsseEsse's out there. Are there any more on the Forum?

Such a sexy car. Without a shadow of a doubt so much sexier than any Ferrari, Lambo or Maserati. Quite a statement, open for debate ofcourse, but IMO The AGP wins hands down. If i won £100million tomorrow i'd buy one of these in every colour just because i could.

Haha :)

Love it!

if it was on steelies would you do naughty stuff to it?

we all know you have an obsesion with cars and steelies hahaha

..

lovely car btw :)

Palio who'd have thought over a year on i'd be the next to post after i was the last, and i'd be the owner of one of these beasts.

You still got yours, if so tell me/inform me when/if you go to any meets!

Hi - yep still got it, though it needs a good clean!!

I don't usually take it to meets (usually take something older), but can do easily. There's the MI super sausage meet at Silverstone - could take it, otherwise I guess it will be next year before anything crops up. (y)

I'll pop over to your thread now......

Yes, I still have it!

It's showing a heady 11000 miles on it now - no that's not a misprint......

If you're looking for the mot history etc it's been on a private "EsseEsse" plate (I see the photo which came up shows the original). It's ES59 ESS if you want to see the stellar mileage & hideous mot history (it's all a sea of green I think still, and the car is 15 years old this month). It's got to the stage where I don't know what to do with it, especially as one sold for big money at auction a year ago.

Im a bit confused. Do you physically still have this AGP ESSEESSE with roof hatch or in the end you sold it?

Do you have maybe whatsup or I can give mine to discuss further looking AGP ESSEESSE quite long time with sun roof trying at least find any trace of this particular model.

Thanks.

Yes I bought it new and still own it! Only 11k miles from new and no other owners. Not sure what confused you, but sorry if I did.

I put the private registration plate on many years ago, so the original won't give any current info.

Not confusion anymore just miss understand it. Just want to ask you not considering to to sell or in any later future maybe you want change the contacts just in case I have fiat grande punto abarth 2010 black colour right now. We could meet in some punto meeting show up with cars etc. I would like at least to see in real life if I not find any of them in soon future. 🤞

Yes I'm certainly thinking about selling, but it won't be cheap. The nearest equivalent I saw sold for nearly £16k inc fees at auction, so it's going to be proper money. It is, however, probably the only unmodified one owner black EsseEsse left, the only one with no stickers, the only one with dual zone climate & skydome, but definitely the lowest mileage one you can find. Genuine EsseEsse obviously with service stamps and certificate that it was converted brand new. (Actually still have all the bits taken off when the £4500 kit was fitted new - including the Abarth crate....).

It's tucked away for the Winter, but come Spring I'll be deciding whether to auction it.
