I think its a dream!

A 150MJ remapped to the maximum is about 212BHP (But they dont get mapped to this because it endangers the turbo)

Then when you chuck on a cat back / decent filter / de-cat and everything else....... I suppose it can be done BUT you wont have it for long before it blows.

Wit ha T-Jet it will be able to be done, but it will cost in the region of 10,000 i would think.

Could theoretically be done on the 1.9 denzel, but would probably need a different turbo for any kind of reliability and the main bearings, pistons and conrods probably wouldn't last long either.

Would be highly amusing for baiting the German stuff, though... ;)

Actually, there is one guy - founder of www.gpabarth.com - who has Grande Punto Abarth tuned to 230bhp and 365Nm by Scorpiontuning.it (http://www.g-techgmbh.de). I have no details yet as it is being tested now and they claim that the power is gained in unique way . They have earlier prepared several stages for 1.4 Tjet engine (for GPA/Bravo being 183/285, 191/295, 210/320, 245/335, respectively bhp/Nm). Anyway, thay say it will have homologation  I don't know the details, as Marco (ower of this GPA) and Scorpiontunig haven't revealed any so far. One I can say for sure: 1.4 Tjet is a torquish engine. It is much more importnat for me :slayer: than having peak power next to cut off...
No one said getting 250bhp from 1.4 is easy, but it is not impossible. 210bhp is gained without changing engine parts (only air filter, IC, turbo, exhaust, and remapping).

Possible because the Mito GTA is reputed to get 230bhp from a twin turbo 1.8 engine.

1.8 direct injection Tjet is not going to be twin turbo but VVT (as far as I have read).

One things for sure Fiat will not be kicking out a 230bhp 1.4 t-jet any time soon.

thanx guys - interesting though... still looking forward to hearing more... and yes bhp is not everytning... +100nm sounds tempting as well :D
