Looking at a car for friend need help Lightning bolt symbol on dashboard I clean throttle body it started up I drove it for like 2 miles it killed on me wouldn’t start back up just put a new throttle body on it’s just turning over can someone please help me

For info: the U. S. Models are quite different from the Euro models

It is @400 pounds heavier,
so uses a 1400cc motor ,where Europe gets a lower power 1242cc

BUT.. The control software is fairly similar

it's the Electronic Throttle Control light. Could be a lot of things, even a weak battery.
On 1.4 Abarths it will also trigger if you press the accelerator and break pedal at the same time for more than 2 seconds.

you need to hook it up to MES or AlfaOBD to see if there are any error codes.

Hi thanks I put a code reader on it last night it didn’t show any codes until i turned off the ignition now im lost don’t no which direction to go the check engine light wasn’t on at all but its on now in the picture my friend stated that it killed on her and started up after a while when I cleaned the throttle body I also un did a battery post and hooked everything up and drove it for like two miles it want start up again I wanted to try to change out the spark plugs since she haven’t did so since she had the car for like 3 years

with 9 different error codes, I'm starting to think this is an electrical problem . maybe a loose connector?
I changed the spark plugs added oil and put the old throttle body back on last night it act like it wanted to start but didn’t now it only giving the p0651 code I’m going to check the fuses later what else you think I should do before I give up
