Hello there, I have just come back from a very long trip around Europe and for one reason or another, chose to not get an oil change for the recommended 10,000 or 15,000 kms. In fact it is now 30,000 km's since the last oil change, and everything is running fine. My question is there any risk of damage or undue wear and tear here? (I have read stories of oil not being changed in vans for much longer than this, Fiat recommends 42,000 km's if I am understanding that right.)

This engine requires 5/30 oil, apparently that is the best for the turbo and the it gets pretty good fuel consumption 100 kms/10 litres.

I bought the van in early 2023 at 64,000 km's and have no idea if the timing belt was changed by the previous owner - is there a sticker somewhere in the engine bay that shows that? I could not see anything. Online, the years or km's for changing the belt vary a bit, so can anyone tell me what is the optimum in Km's?

When I put it in for a service next week, any recommendations?

1. Engine flush before oil change? (A controversial topic!)
2. Clutch adjustment? (Seems to be working ok but it took some punishing on steep slopes in the past few months!)
3. Gearbox oil top up?
4. All the usual filters I guess: Fuel, oil, air etc.

These details are from a 2012 AutoData Timing Manual, does the Engine Series match yours?
Personally I always use engine flush, though other disagree and some modern engines if dirt is dislodged can be a problem.
Motorway use is better than stop start town use for oils, but I would always recommend shorter service intervals for engine health.
Always a good idea to check over regularly as things can start fail and be caught before expensive.
