Okay, sorry to confuse you lot.

It's a bit like "Two Sheds" Jackson, sorry. He was thinking of getting another shed so they called him "Two Sheds". One of the lesser-known Monty Python sketches.

I am looking at another one on Saturday, though. Great nick by all accounts :). I've seen it - a rather nice red one outside my house a few times, which turned out to be a mother visiting her daughter (a neighbour of mine)

The neighbour has been trying to sell me the car over the last two years as her mum has now stopped driving as she's turned 80.

This one had perfect doors. Trouble is, who knows what it's like now as it hasn't moved for those two years. I'm hoping and praying that it's a good-un. Price: 50 quid. J registration.

Alas, I've been told that my own beloved Panda's corrosion is far too extensive to pass an MOT without forking out serious cash ;).

You have no idea how heartbreaking that is. Or maybe some of you do.

Sounds good and certainly cheap enough :) Is it a 900 or 1000?

corrosion is far too extensive,If you can afford it buy a cheep mig get a couple of books from libary a bit of pratice 2 hours and away you go, mig welding is very easy to do. I bought one £30 used when i had a triumph I'd never used a mig before but could weld straight away to mot standard.

Please do not Email or PM me asking for support. Post on the forums instead. Your reply may help someone else. Thank you

I used to do the welding on my old BMW 2002 back in my "boy racer" days (late 20s) - MIGs were rather expensive then but I was a dab hand with the old oxy-acetylene torch :) I have worked with a MIG and found it very easy to use. It's not the spirit that's unwilling but the pocket.

I would love to keep my little white Panda forever, believe me, but at 50 I'm having to face reality. Second hand cars are so cheap these days they're almost disposable!

Oh and Paul, I have no idea what model it is. All I know that it is red and was immaculate two years ago. I've a feeling it's a 1000CL like mine but couldn't swear to it ...

I don't think you can go far wrong for £50, Steve.:)

Watch the brakes though - the fluid has probably absorbed some moisture with it being stood so long.
Depending on where it's been stored (inside or out) will make some difference, but change it to be sure it won't boil upB)

Shame about the white one:(

Not seeing it now until next weekend. BTW I've was told yesterday that the clutch has seized from standing too long. I've freed a seized clutch before so it shouldn't be a problem.

But, IF I bought it, I would be replacing oil & filter, brake fluid, all belts, coolant, fuel filter and flexible hoses ... particularly as I would have done that to the poor little white one anyway. I allready have the items needed.

I know John, it's a great shame. If I could find a friendly neighbour who could lend me a garage, I would put my little white hotrod in it and work on her when I could. As I've said before, she's been with me to Hell and back, and that's no exaggeration either :(

I expect it's the scrum that does it [)]
Gives them cauliflower ears, too B);)

Okay guys - an update (as I'm getting a few digs from one or two of you - no names).

My beloved white Panda is still on my neighbour's drive - I'm getting sarcastic comments now. I'm still trying to persuade another one of them to lend me his garage. It's completely empty, he never uses it and more importantly, it's next to mine so I can feed power to it :)

The red one is still with the old lady - she suffers from depression and is not happy about parting with it yet. But it appears she still wants me to have it.

After this year is over I'll have my new holiday allocation so I can plan the revival :)

I'm still EXTREMELY RELUCTANT to let the white one go. It would break my heart :(

I gave up worrying about feeling silly a long time ago[)]

No - it won't happen now until after Christmas. Then I'll have some more holiday available!
