Technical 1.2 8v to 1.4 8v

Just wanted to check. I currently have a 1.2 8v but it’s blown up I want to upgrade to a 1.4 8v instead. To my knowledge it will go straight in without anything needed to be changed? Correct me if I’m wrong.

Hey. I'm new to owning the punto so I'll advise on what I know. I belive the 1.2 and 1.4 is more or less the same. You would have to swap the ecu otherwise the timing would be out of sync. Other than that I cannot think what else would be different. Maybe a few odd plugs but I reckon it's more or less a simple swap. I might be absolutely wrong though
