so my wiper sit to high on the screen,they move down slightly when you touch them before they go up,so is it just take them off and reline them or something else?

sounds like the plastic bushes have expired,
have alook at the linkages and inspect,
what should i be look at an for lol?

if they slowly sit back down - then its worn bushings
if you pop the bonnet and look where the linakges go onto the wiper arms, i bet if you gently push - it'll pop off = its dead and it WILL fall off when you least or most needed it not to
i knew mine was crap, and when i washed my screen it went up - didnt go down and the wipers had a fights and forced a stop.... NOT GOOD
i repaired mine with a nut and bolt job, but the slack is getting worse causing the wipers to bounce

lasted a month or two,
ended up changing full lot, off low mileage 55 reg mk2b

Mk2b ones are working well on my Mk2a.
she is alate one tho last of the MK2a's so im told
so it might make a differnce,. dunno, but they work on mine,
carnt see anydiffernce in the set ups,.

idont blaim you mate,
some scrapped puntos have some new parts fitted,
this wiper motor set up igot was all shiney and new looking,
you can get lucky sometimes
