Hello and good evening all, just been out in the car and realised my heater wont work on any setting bar full. Seen this problem on a espace mk1 many years ago, on this occasion turned out to be corroded connections to the blower. Does this sound like it could be the problem on my car. Btw my car is a X reg punto 1.2 elx
Thanks in advance
Andrew

Hi mate

Have a look at THIS guide for how to access it. (the guide itself is for another heater fan fault)

In this pic it is the white plug on the far right. Yours may be white or black depending on its type (valeo or marelli)

Yup - sounds like resistor pack failure OR Resistor pack connector failure

If you can disconnect the plug - its more like resistor failure

if it fails to unplug - its plug failure where its overheated and melted

Its pips to remove - just 1 screw
A wiggle of the cables and some signs of life = Wiring at plug

Also
DONT run the fan with the resistor pack out, it gets Hot quick, it relys on the air movement to keep it within working range
