Just been doing some fiddling on sisters mk3 and the gully at the top of the bulkhead below the screen sctull (hope I've decsribed it properly) was fully of water!

The two drain pipes were full of rubbish and upon cleaning a good 5litres flowed out!

So just a word of warning, just keep an eye on these drain pipes and make sure they're clear.

A good way to clean these drains is to squeeze the rubber 'teats' (which you can reach at the back of the engine bay with the bonnet open), rather like milking a goat. Especially during the autumn period, doing this after washing the car always seems to let out a leaf or two. Don't be tempted to try and poke things down them -- they come loose very easily and are a bugger to put back again! (from the 'been there, done that' school of Fiat ownership)
