Technical Headlight bulb

The car still has the old style big round bulbs - I didn't think H4 would fit but they do.

Has anyone got the (fake) HID (blue) bulbs? Are they any good?

Hi Martin, I've recently fitted H4 superbrights. they have slight blue tint but are not HID's. theyre incredibly bright compared to standard and great on full beam, as good as they spotlamps really

got them for £20 in halfords on a BOGOF offer

Craig are they on the 'P45T' bulb base

As far as I'm aware in our Halford the 'P45T' base is only available in standard bulb form and not the 'super brights' etc, unless your using converters of course

Jon.

Not sure Jon

We had a "normal" h4 type in as spare and we managed to get the same code )halford 472 iirc) in super bright. best buy yet, apart from the car of course

H4 won't be the correct fit, so the likly hood of the beam being spot on it very low, and a bump in the road can soon set it out of place.

I'd look at getting the propper converters (on ebay, put in P45T) so that they're definatly in properly and you won't be dazzling people (not saying that your are at the mo though), and you might even get a better light output from them even more (y)
