My front bumper is off on the nearside. It's not going anywhere beacause it is held on securely at all the other points.

It all appears to be complete - just slipped the retaining bolt, does any one know the easiest way to correct it?

Try pushing the bumper back (front / front corner push rearwards towards the back of the car) and in at the same time to see if you can get the bolt thing to catch. If not, remove wheel and wheel arch liner, and undo bolt, put back on bumper, and then do bolt back up to bodywork again.

Might be a broken bumper mount though, so might not be doable :(

Hi MEP, If side (inner plastic mount where original bumper bolt - slide in to) on the bumper is broken or partially damaged, *(like in my case was) you can use one pcs of thin metall sheet, few centimeters wide and abt 4 cm long - one mm thick, with hole drilled in the middle and formed in thin-long ``u``. Use the metal ``u`` drilled through both side - to secure bolt into side mount (*dammaged side bumper mount) and fix everything back. If not applicable, you can drill bumper on propper place and use sfere headed bolt (black-one) and fix bumper to same place on both bumper sides - just for the simmetry.

Pope has a similar problem and I explain to him.... see attached pic.....

:yeahthat:

Definately take the wheel off first, saves all kinds of annoyances... You don't have to take the whole arch liner out either, there's 2 or 3 screws that just release the front and you can pull it back fairly safely.

@ Aca: Next time you see the Pope can you get him to put a word in for us heathens with the big man!!!

Cheers, Luke. (y)
