Does anyone know if the stereo pre-wiring would be in my car before I start hoofing the dashboard out? It's a 1993 Parade 1000.
I've just been gifted a Blaupunkt cassette/radio, courtesy of one of my colleagues writing off our Mercedes Sprinter - it's not going to the crusher with a perfectly good stereo in...

I think the permenant live and ground wires should be there (They will be if you have a cig lighter as they're the same wires)
You will need to put in speaker wires and also a switched ignition if you want it to turn off with the ignition. I didnt bother with switched ignition which means i always remember to hide the facia when i park the car

Then I've just seen they're 8 quid in Argos
but i'd a 15 quid halfords voucher!

I have orginal speakers and grills but no pods
Great link 'spankysmagicpiano', I now know what to get the old man for his Birthday in March (already got his Christmas prezies) lol.
As for the wiring, there should be two wires (red or brown (+ve), and black (-ve). Constantly live, so you can sit in the car with ignition off and listen to the music. This is also the spur off for the cigarette lighter and I've also used it for the central locking (alarm, Can't remember) and Power arial booster.
