Update time methinks....
Clutch cable snapped approx 80 Miles away from home
But I picked up a new one (Hook type, instead of my bolt and eye). I know people think that this is a sign for a clutch change, but my clutch was done last April by Andy's Cinq, and it still feels great. So my guess is it was a crap cable, this new one hasn't stretched at all and still feels great. Needless to say, it was the first real work I have done on my own car
Trial by fire, but it was successful
However, on my old cable, I have a twisty white bit, that mates up to the gearbox, and my new one hasn't? Just secured with a bolt and locker.
Onwards!
I did make an oopsie, and yes, naive mistake checking my radio before a junction ( Lesson learnt) Bump at about 7 mph, into the back of a taxi. He took no damage (LITTLE SCRATCHES) , cinq melted onto him so it was a bit worse for me. However, I corrected the scratches on his bumper with my trusty DA polisher. No claim!
He tried to pay me because I fixed a couple of other scratches :nutter:
Cinq is fine, cosmetic damage only (Possible, maybe knocked an engine mount)
So, failing my local breakers, she got some attention whilst the wether was good!
Contamination on roof:
Half of the bonnet:

Beading:
It took me 4 hrs to wash, decontaminate the roof and bonnet, compound the roof and bonnet, refine and wax!
Lot's on time.
About those engine mounts, guess something is out as my driveshafts aren't happy.
I've recently been looking at other cars, something VAG and boring. But i've weighed up the costs, and the company of this forum. And I wouldn't want to have any other car than a fiat, and I already have one that needs love. So, she is staying. But standard, original and classic. Just as fiat intended. No more camp
