Kia Clarus

Introduction

Looking to get my dads old Kia on the road again & sell it. Its been off the road for about two years absolute brilliant car I remember learning to driving in it lol but its just been left standing since my dad brought something a bit better on the wallet as this car chugs petrol but brilliant on the motorway but for a runaround only get 20-25mpg.
Spec

Make: Kia
Model: Clarus
Engine: 2000cc
Fuel: Petrol
Mileage: 75000

Its got the same running gear as the Madza 626 which is pretty reliable, its not had much change except for the exhaust which is a full cat-back stainless steel & sounds pretty beefy.

Needs really I general clean, sort out abit of the paint, & new tyre on the back. Batterys dead but I did manage to jump start it & was running fine yesterday. Anything I should be looking out for as its been standing for quite long?

While it's been standing have the tyres been rotated or has it been stood with the tyres off the ground?

The tyres can get flat spots from standing on the same spot for so long :(

Well its only been moved twice since its been off the road. Thanks for that I will check them, one of them is completly flat as it has a punchture, so that needs replacing anyway.

worth about £300-£400, the profit on this will be minimal if any at all

Its an old, thirsty kia - not a car people demand or want

I would ebay it with no reserve, and be happy with whatever you get for it

Yeah I know, it's ashame as it's quite a dent car and hardly any about. Just really need too shift the car to make some space at my dads so hopefully get an older car and restore it, my dads a busy man though so I thought I would go about the task and help do it myself.

Turn it into a banger racer :slayer:. Then once smashed up set fire to it and ditch it somewhere .

I did something similar with an old landy with a friend. Took it to tesco's and just bashed it into the pillons and into the trolley cages as we were 'parking' :ROFLMAO:.

Sounds fun, I threw a brick at an old wrecked caravan once.......amazing how it feels good to trash something

Its been ages since I posted this, I been busy so I haven't had time to do anything to the car, I managed to jump start it the other day & start fine but the battery it flat as anything so Ive take it off & put it on charge hopefully it will charge up.

Taken the rear wheel off too get a new tyre, so next is an mot before I spend anymore money on it.
