hey peeps :) just need some advice on a idea, i wanting to try something different for a while now with my GP. i have a black GP with abarth alloys (see pic) with smoked rear lights and fly-eye headlights so its all very black. i have some money coming to me soon and need my alloys refurbed anyway but was going to get them sprayed white while i was at it (and possibly white mirror caps, to see how it looks) and was wondering if i got them sprayed white and didnt like it after a while how hard would it be to go back to anthracite or black? would it be easy enough to do myself or would it be easier and cheaper to go darker by a pro because its already white?

I Went On Photoshop and Had A Little Play Around (Bear In Mind Im Not Very Good At Photshop) Just To Give You Some Ideas As To What I Had In Mind.. Im Not Keeping This Car Much Longer (Possibly Till End Of Year) So I Dont Want To Spend A Fortune On It. I Like The Idea Of The White ALLOYS, MIRRORS and A White Stripe.. :) Take A Look and See What You Think..

 
Honest opinion? Looks absolutely rancid, like some chav, have-a-go FastCar nonsense.

If I saw it in the street, I'd laugh. When I saw you, I'd shout 'WHY?!?!'

Keep it as it is!

well everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. sometimes people just get it wrong :)
and it hardly looks like a 'rancid' 'chav have-a-go' car - it doesnt have stupid wheels, or lights or a silly exhaust which sounds like a wet fart.. it's not very modified and has the same mirror and sticker arrangement as a ABARTH and they look far from chavvy.

thanks for the offer mate :) i'll bear that in mind, just they cost me a lot of money and their quite rare in the fact that you cant really just order them off a website but i'll keep that in mind.

If you strip away the surface, that's essentially what I did say.

Honestly, the original alloys you posted look great, I think making them white would ruin them. If you're intent on having white wheels take GymJunkie up on his offer.

But its not an abarth, why try and replicate it if its not gonna have the power to match?

White wheels won't look too bad but leave the stickers.

i know its not an abarth, it would be pointless to make it look like a abarth, like you said but i was just pointing out its the same arrangment as a abarth and thanks for the constructive critisism, i'd prefer someone to say things like that rather than 'its crap' or 'no' lol. :)

i actually saw your profile a while ago and i saw a pic of your car and thats kinda of where i got the inspiration from, just been meaning to do this thread for a while! :D and shame about your wheel :eek:
